NEGURA

A quiet hideaway
with a bird host.

Once a traditional doll shop, this house has been reborn as a small inn nestled in the town. “Tonight's nest is here.” We welcome those who come to Setouchi to enjoy a slow, temporary way of living. The little bird curled up in its nest is, in fact, the host of this inn. So that humans, animals, and all living things can truly rest, we quietly keep evolving everyone's “negura” day by day.

About negura

A small bird quietly watches over the nest. As the “host” of this inn, it stands here every day so that every traveler who visits can rest their wings in comfort.

How negura was made

Phase 01

Demolition

Stripping out the unused interior while keeping the original frame and memories, we laid the foundation for the next chapter.

Demolition

The hundred-year-old wood creaks softly from time to time.

Phase 02

Preparation

Walls peeled away, floors newly laid—each step was done carefully by hand.

Phase 03
